Your first step is to figure out what style of photographer you want. Do you want someone who specializes in traditional wedding photos? Light and airy? Dark and moody? Photojournalistic? Check out Pinterest and Google to narrow down which style you like best.

Once you've narrowed it down, use the WW vendor tab to look up photographers. You can narrow down your search by style and by price point on the filter. If no one strikes your fancy there, maybe check out Instagram hashtags with your location and style and the word wedding. I found my amazing photographers on here, so I always suggest to start here first. Best of luck!

I would ask any friends or acquaintances that got married who they used recently. I prefer photographers that have an instagram and site with pictures so I can see their work. Also, go with what you can afford even if splurging. Check the vendors here as they have reviews.

I stalked wedding photographers on social media (particularly Instagram) when we first got engaged to figure out what style I liked.

We’re eloping across the country so we reviewed a ton of photographers portfolios and narrowed down to our favorites. We had some exchanges via email, and then set up intro calls to discuss what we were looking for and get to know them. We made our decision after having calls with 2 photographers & put a deposit down right away.

I looked through posted pictures, called and spoke with multiple photographers and got some advice from family and friends. And I agree with the above! I don't have any desire to be on Instagram but I used it to review photographers and it helped make a decision!
