If you can, definitely spend the money on a professional! The best decision regarding my wedding was to hire my photographers. They captured some incredible images that will hold our memories for the rest of our lives.

If you’re looking to save money a lot of college students do it for a fraction of the cost. My graduation photos were taken by a fellow student and they turned out amazing and it was so cheap compared to if you hired a vendor
As Veronica stated, it is a little soon to be booking a photographer and videographer if your wedding really is in 2030.
When you do start to look for photographers and videographers in your area, check the vendor tab here on WW or on The Knot. You can see several vendors in your area with reviews from past brides.
I'm using tolman media, they are a countrywide company. They basically subcontract other photographers but you pay a flat rate through them. It was $1499 for 5 hours of photography and $1999 for 5 hours of photography and video. The problem is you get whatever photographer they pick, you might be able to change it once they assign you one and you look at their work. The guy I was assigned looks like he does pretty good work. Hope this helps
