Agreed. My former supervisor (a woman) actually said that to me. I replied I'm sorry you've been divorced twice. Then she asked if my (then) fiancé had a brother. I said "Yes, but he's married and you're his mother's age." She got married for the 3rd time about a year after I got married so I totally turned it around on her.

I don't mind the reception right after or the bouquet toss but I absolutely abhor with the rest. The garter toss seems sleazy to me. I hate dry wine. People who don't watch their kids is an all the time pet peeve for me!

So true! My former supervisor was like that. She'd been divorced twice by the time I got married and she kept saying "You still have time to change your mind." It drove me batty.

I hate carpet. Not just ugly/busy carpet but all carpet. I absolutely would not book a carpeted venue.

I totally get that! I hate planning. I don't know if I'm too picky or too indecisive but as far as the food goes, I can understand that to some extent, it's necessary. I can't have dairy and my husband is allergic to gluten. My mother and his grandmother are both allergic to shellfish. But if it's just a personal choice rather than something that will actually make you ill, then I don't think it's necessary to specifically cater to tastes. I was one of the last people I know to get married so I haven't ran into guests' names changing.

Yep, that drives me batty too. Rude is an understatement. My former supervisor (a woman) said something like that too. I said, "Thanks but that won't be necessary. Sorry your first two marriages didn't work out."

Agreed. I had even heard of that until two months ago. I'm also over the sparkler send off.

Yes^^ I really hate the weird "life sentence" / "ball and chain" / "don't do it" / "there's still time to call it off" comments that we have been getting, especially FH... We just look at each other and are like ?? because it's sooo not accurate. Why is it so hard for people to believe we're getting married because we both actually want to? The other day he looked at someone and was like "WHAT IS THAT EVEN SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" ...Awkward.

We will never again have a sparkler send off in my family. There was a small brush fire a few years ago at my cousin's wedding... Luckily some quick thinking waiters dumped the centerpieces out onto the flames ... OMG.
That one late guest who runs down the aisle directly in front of the bride. We all know who the most likely culprit is.

Omg! That's one great reason to stop the sparkler trend.

What the... (insert a lot of words not allowed on WW)... At my brother's wedding, his wife's cousin was late, busted up in the ceremony wearing white. She literally flung open the double doors at the back and marched loudly up the aisle to her seat.

I think a lot of people say things like that because they just jump in and marry the first person who comes along. Some people think they're being funny but it truly is rude and annoying.

Wow most people are opposite about the reception thing. I guess I can’t do much cause then I would have to get out of nice clothes Messing up hair and make up. To fix it again.

I prefer the reception immediately after or at least shortly after. A cocktail hour is fine between reception and ceremony but no more than an hour.
