Wedding Party

Have you ever had anyone who was in the wedding party because they are ‘fun’ but also a somewhat good friend... but not entirely the closest friend? We are debating having:
Option A :
Our siblings + my BFF (3 groomsmen and 3 bridesmaids) + an “I Do Crew” (close friends who will be invited on the party bus with us before the reception
Option B: Option A + 2 couples we socialize with often

I recommend including those in the wedding party who you foresee being in your life for a long time. For anyone else, you can always ask them to be readers or give them other tasks so they are included in some way!

We both chose our siblings (we're close to them) and closest friends to be in the wedding party and that's it. As PP alluded to, you want to be able to look back at your pictures in like 20 years and have people that were and (hopefully) still are important to you in those bridal party shots.

Pick those who are closest to you and supportive who you see being in your life long term. Don't add someone just because or to fit a certain number.

Being a guest with no responsibility other than show up and have fun is just as much an honor and some folks actually prefer that.

Stick to your day ones!!!!!! We're only doing a MOH & BM, and I'm getting ready with some girlfriends in the morning (all are 10-20 year relationships).

Conclusion: I went with including them all! When someone above mentioned include those who will be in your life 20 years from now... that really resonated with me! We cannot wait!

How did you ask them to be your "I Do Crew"? We have our 5/6 bridesmaids & Groomsmen picked out but I have about 4 other girls that I love, but just haven't been friends with as long as my Bridesmaids. I plan on doing the Bridesmaids boxes and had thought about doing it for those 4 girls as well but putting a letter in their box just basically explaining that I wanted them involved in everything they just wouldn't stand up there... but idk how to say that and not make it sound terrible?

If they are not your closest people they have no business being your attendants.
