Wedding party

Well before the first thing the wedding party doesn't have to be even. Also, yes you definitely want ladies you can depend on but I would also choose ladies who you really want by your side on the day of the wedding be at friends or family.

If anything, I would say go with a smaller wedding party with people you know are really dependable. For me it was easy because my sister is my MOH, and my other bridesmaids are my fiancé’s sisters, my cousin, and my best friend. And my fiancé is having four of his friends and my brother.


I know some people will have childhood friends, people they feel an obligation to have in their wedding party, etc. But we just went with people we are closest to right now and know we can rely on ☺️And you can definitely have an uneven number in the wedding party!

We definitely know our MOH is my sister and the BMen is my BIL. My daughter is 10 but always dreamed of being a flower girl so thats picked, and our RB is my son. Not sure if i should add my FH sister or not. Shes not local.

We will be having 6 bridesmaids (my 2 sisters, 2 best friends, close friend I️ call sister, and my cousin) he will have 3 groomsmen (his closest friends). We will not be having a best man or a maid of honor because it’s too difficult to choose that out of all of the people we love. Also I️ don’t want no drama lmao. Also his sister will be our flower girl (she’ll be 19) and my brother will be the ring bearer (he’ll be 17). They’re the only guests under 21 so I️ thought it would be so cute to include them apart of the wedding party.

I picked girls that I just felt were my closest and I closed my eyes and imagined who I see there and those ones I saw and couldn’t imagine not having there with me were who I chose

Well you dont have to have an wedding party if you feel it would be excuses...drama and excuses is not what you want while planning a wedding you need alot of support and ppl who will be there for you. Traditionally ppl have wedding parties but its not needed.
If you did decied to go with a few girls pick those who understands what expected of them and take it from there. Good luck

Yes I think we have desided just to do our family as the wedding party. Small but yet to the point.

We decided a against a big wedding party for a lot of the same reasons. We only have a best man - his brother. A maid of honor - my 17 year old daughter. And, a brides maid - my sister. Future sister-in-law will do a reading.

Other family members will be part of the processional - including the kids.
