Wedding party table or Sweetheart table?

MrsBartonToBe, on January 23, 2018 at 9:13 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 21
Can’t decide on what to do. With our full wedding party there will be 16 of us lol that’s why I’m considering a sweetheart table. If you’ve done a sweetheart table can I see your pictures?

    Sweetheart table all the way.

It lets you have some time alone with your new spouse. You will get pulled in a million different directions on that day, I'm glad H and I had that time carved out for just us.

If you decide to include the wedding party, you should also include their SOs or dates. No one wants to sit apart from their date.

For our decorations, we just put my bouquet in a big vase, with some candles around it.

Team Sweetheart Table. I want my wedding party to mingle and hang out with their spouses. And if i can grab a few minutes with my new husband alone at any point in the night, I’ll take it.

This is our sweetheart table inspo with the Mr. and Mrs. then the cloche is the inspo for our centerpieces and our florist is going to do a mini cloche on the sweetheart table (that I get to keep!) with another vase to put my bouquet (simple bouquet of pale pink roses)

We are thinking of a sweetheart table. It just seems like a sweet little intimacy in the middle of everything

Our bridal parties do not neccessarily go together in any way because they are people from all different parts of our lives that we see separately, so sweetheart table just made sense!

    Sweetheart Table!
Almost everyone in the wedding party will probably have a date and I’m sure they’d like to sit with them. Plus you should be able to have a placs to sit just the two of you after tons of mingling!

(I may be biased though.. my fiancé was in a wedding that did the wedding party table and I had to awkwardly sit with all people I had met one time before. I’d never wish that moment on anyone else. Lol.)

We are doing a head table! I wanted to include dates, believe me I really. REALLY tried for it but some people just flat said no, including my vendor. It can be seen as rude if you don’t include the dates but -sigh- I lost that battle.

i’m offering those in the bridal party to sit with their S/O or spouse if they’d prefer though.

I am hoping to do a ‘kings table’ i think it’s called where we sit with our party and their significant others. I’m picturing a long rectangle at the moment, but we will see if it works out!

I'm totally team sweetheart table (still freshly engaged and have done no planning past Pinterest so far lol) but weddings go by so quickly and I want to remember having dinner with my husband for the first time. Also I think it will be easier to do seating charts w bridal party at regular tables with their dates / SOs. I'm currently in a friend's wedding and my fiance was concerned about not being able to be with me during the wedding. Would totally not be fun!

Sweetheart table all the way! Our party has 21. Also I want to have some intimate time with Husband (can’t believe I just called him Husband, EEK!) And the BP should be allowed to sit with their SOs.

Sweetheart or a King's table for sure! Sitting the WP separate from spouses is considered rude.

In your case, I'd probably go with King's table. The more the merrier, lol!

Reception PicWedding party table or Sweetheart table? 3Sweetheart tableWedding party table or Sweetheart table? 4

We did a mixture of the two. Before joining wedding wire I had never heard of the whole " its rude to do a head table" spiel. Its very common in my area and the only way I had ever seen things done. I spoke to my wedding party about it and they thought it would be weird to do it any other way so we stuck to the head table concept.

It wasnt bad as ppl tend to make it. They sat down for dinner ( 45 mins tops) and mingled the entire rest of the night like every one else. Hardly anybody was seated after dinner anyway.

ETA: it was 4 on each side.
