Have them stand on your side! Just because he doesn't want groomsmen doesn't mean you can't have bridesmaids.

You can make them regular bridesmaids but just have them sit in the first row instead of stand next to you. If someone asked me to sit because their children will be standing next to them, I would completely understand.

We opted not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen as well. What about having the ones you want included be ushers, or do a reading during the ceremony?

If it was me for one of my best friend’s wedding, I’d be perfectly happy not to be IN the wedding but to be invited to get ready together . I’d be thrilled not to have a job or a specific outfit but just get dolled up together with maybe a mimosa haha

If one of my best friends was getting married and wasn't have a BP, i wouldn't be upset about it. I do like the PP idea of inviting them to get ready with you, though! Since it sounds like you want them there with you on your day.
