Wedding party gifts

Katie, on August 1, 2020 at 10:35 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
So I'm buying all my bridesmaids gifts to give them at the rehearsal dinner and my fiancé is buying gifts for his groomsmen to also give at the rehearsal dinner. Now my question is do I get our parents gifts as well?

I think it would be a nice gesture to also get gifts for your parents. I'm planning on getting both my parents and my fiance's parents each a gift, just not sure what yet.

I don't know what I'll get the parents either, I'll probably end up looking on etsy or Amazon.

Etsy has some really cute ideas! I found a bunch of potential gifts for parents that I bookmarked to look back at later. Hopefully you find what you're looking for!

Yes, most people buy gifts for their parents. Buy something they each like as if you were shopping for their birthdays or Christmas.

It is traditional to gift your parents something on your wedding day.

Yes parents are usually included in the “gifting” especially if they helped or contributed any towards the wedding or planning

Thank you. I wasn't sure and wanted to see what everyone thought. I will definitely be looking into gifts for them.

It's personal preference but not required. Some people do, some don't

It doesn’t have to be anything expensive at all, I’m going to give customized gifts

Yes we did. It was super sweet to give our loved ones and wedding party gifts during the rehearsal dinner.

Yes, it’s traditional to give gifts to your parents. It’s sort of a way of saying “thank you for your love and support” and for that whole raising you thing. lol
I would shop for them as if you were shopping for their birthdays. If they’re not the funny gift types, perhaps go a little extra with the sentiment than you normally might.
