Wedding party gifts that they can Fly with

Kristen, on February 7, 2020 at 10:36 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

Majority of our wedding party is out of state and will have to fly, so I'm having a hard time coming up with some good ideas for what to get for my bridesmaids and my fiancé's groomsmen. I was thinking it can't be breakable, won't take up too much room in suitcase, can travel in their carry on (no liquids), not too heavy and something they actually will want and use. Any ideas? We were planning to spend about $50-75 per person.

I would get them a gift card to a store or restaurant they like.

For my bachelorette I got my girls personalized leather luggage tags. Most of my friends are recently married so I used their new monograms.

For the wedding, I found someone on Etsy that did a cartoon version of my favorite photos of each of us that I’ll give them.

I am in the same boat. I got all of my bridesmaids these toiletry bags for travel. I have been using them for years and love them. They are the perfect size for TSA and see though so they meet all flying requirements.

Then I also got them this expandable bag. My mom and I use something similar when we travel. It is easy to pack in a carry-on and makes a great day bag on trips.

    Hope this helps!

You should look at Samara jewelry boxes... I just found these on Instagram ads haha they are REALLY pretty, leather, travel size but not too small. I want to try to get my bridesmaids concert tickets or something but I really want this box for myself haha!!

I'm planning to get my girls jewelry (probably earrings) and personalized robes, both can be easily tucked in a suitcase.

I love the idea for the cartoon version of a picture! What etsy shop did you get them from?

My FH has a monogrammed canvas and leather duffel bag from being the best man is his best man's wedding and he really likes it. It's a nice "travel" gift too because they can load extra stuff it in for the flight, or collapse it down small and have it be a non-issue.

I got my MOH earrings (had them sent to her house after she ordered her dress as a thank you) and am getting her a piece of artwork by an artist we both like. I don't have other bridesmaids so it was easier to choose something specific to her, and I didn't have to worry about getting something that would work for everyone.

That's really considerate of you! I will want to do the same but gift cards are probably out because my friends are international and with a monetary value on there, I'd feel weird if I wasn't giving this out equally (not that they're gonna go around comparing lol). I think one item that's sort of wedding-themed like a hair accessory or PJs would be nice as a gift for all and it's light, but best-case I'd like to give each girl something individual as I would on their birthday. It will take some thought though. Smiley gift

    Hi Kristen,

So I recently purchased gifts for my girls and I went with robes, and accessories. They are light weight and easy to pack. You could even look into folding fans or make up bags with personalizations. As for the guys, that can be a little tricky, my fiancé has multiple options for the guys based of their personalities. Personalized lighters, flasks, pocket watches, toiletry bag or cuff links are a few ideas I can think of.

    Hope this helps, good luck!!
