Wedding party attire dilemma

Kristy, on June 29, 2019 at 9:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I need a little help as I'm not the most stylish or creative person. Here it is... during the planning of my wedding, the color scheme I was set on is blush, grey, with some touches of wine. I had originally planned on my bridesmaids wearing a blush pink, the groomsmen wearing grey suites with touches of blush, and my soon to be husband wearing a matching grey suite with the blush pink pocket square. My dress is ivory. The touches of wine were only going to be in the bouquets, which will consist mostly of ivory and pink as well. Obviously this was all just a thought but after discussing with my groom he has been pretty clear that he would prefer if himself and groomsmen didn't wear any pink, which I can respect. So fast forward... we went tux shopping and decided on medium grey suites for his groomsmen with wine vest and pocket square, my soon to be will wear a black tux with black vest, and wine pocket square. I feel this has completely changed the look I was going for but I'm very open to change as I want us both to be happy. Would it still be ok to have my bridesmaids in blush pink and maybe have my MOH in wine, or possibly switch it up with my junior bridesmaids? Any suggestions on how I can make this work without clashing or looking tacky? This is a September wedding.

I think any of your bridesmaids/MOH could wear blush or wine without it looking tacky. Burgundies and blushes go great together

I think it will look gorgeous and will give a nod to your MoH for being the MoH by having her in the wine & the other girls in the blush. I think as long as you have both blush/pink & wine in the bouquets, it will tie everything together nicely

Here are some pics I found on pinterest to show how well the colors will blend

Blush and burgundy go so great together; your wedding party will look fabulous. My girls are wearing steel blue dresses and the guys are wearing all black suits with silver ties. Not everyone needs to match.

Those colors sound great. Could you even do something like a burgundy sash on their blush belts? But even if only the bouquet is burgundy it would look gorgeous

Hey Kirsty! Have you decided what colors everyone will be wearing?
