Hey everyone! My fiance and I just got done visiting our first venue, and we absolutely fell in love. It was our favorite out of our "go and visit" list, and we're strongly considering booking it. It's absolutely gorgeous. The wedding pacakage includes all of the food, an open bar the entire reception, a champagne toast, linens, all of the dishware, accomodations for my fiance and I the night of our wedding, the wedding cake, and our ceremony. There are also two suites for my fiance and I to get ready for 2 hours before the ceremony with hors d'oeuvres and drinks. The reception will be 4 hours, and there is also a shuttle to take people over to their other hotel. The total cost comes out to be about $10,000. Do you guys think that is a fair and reasonable price for what it includes? My fiance and I want to be sure that we're taking a good deal. Since many of you have looked at many venues and booked your own, I thought you all would be the perfect people to ask! Thanks

That is similar to what we paid, but ours also included the dj and day of coordinator. It was absolutley worth it. We were shooting for as much as possible included.

My venue is in Costa Mesa, CA and I was quoted $10k for 75 people... for about the same thing

I would be careful. I was quoted 13000 for a venue for 80 people and was excited until I looked at the food choices. They were all chicken options and they didn't do a food tasting so I couldn't even see if I liked it. I loved the price, but went with another venue.

I looked at an option like that.

Make sure to check if the 10k includes gratuity, taxes and service fees. If not that's another 3.5k+

Plus you'll still need a photographer, dress, florist, officiant, DJ & other vendors.

Is your total budget 20k? Because I bet that's what you'll end up spending all said and done with this venue.

That is a really good price. My only advice is go to your other venues before making a decision!! My first venue visit was the one I SWORE I was going to get married at, and I didn't pick it and actually fell in love with the one I didn't even want to visit. Look at them all then choose!!

Sounds like a great deal. Sounds like it would also save you and FH a lot of stress.

Yeah, I want the price you're paying... We're not getting all of that, but we are getting a lot, and spending much more than you. Why, oh why, do we have to live near a major city?!

Whoa, outside of Philly?? Even more amazing! Do you mind sharing name of the venue?

I agree with PP's. The cost seems amazing. I'm paying that for food and open beer/wine/ signature drink alone... For 65 people. But my price does include service fees and taxes, which really add up, so definitely add that up. Also, what kind of decor would you have to do? Is it a pretty venue, or would you need to bring a lot of decorations in? I think it's important to think through all the angles (you have time, which is good!) ...but if they all pan out, I would take it!

Yes the woman sent me a breakdown of the costs and it does include tax and service fees! Gratuity is not included. It does include appetizersSmiley smile The venue is gorgeously decorated in my opinion, so I would just need floating candles for the centerpieces and chair covers with ribbons. It's called blue bell country club! It's all about the time of the wedding, BBCC can be very expensive for evening weddings (more than double the price), so the fact that we are doing an afternoon wedding and choosing the "value"(cheaper) wedding package makes a HUGE difference!

That totally sounds like a steal! Try the food and see if they do sampling for the cake.
