Wedding Open Houses - Yay or Nay?

I have done several before choosing our venue and they were all such great experiences! More so than just touring a venue because you get to see it really “done up” with lights and music and vendors, the whole nine! It makes the entire space feel different and easier to imagine your wedding!

Wow! Ive actually never heard of this but it sounds cool/bizarre/odd/interesting/fun all at once.

They are 100% worth it if you haven’t gotten your vendors yet if you already have your vendors and you already have your dress picked they’re really of no use to you

If you can't decide between venues I think they're worth it! As previously mentioned, you get to see the venue completely set up for a wedding so you can better see how it would look on your wedding night. You can often get deals for other vendors as well and get some free giveaways and coupons

Our venue is having one at the end of this month and we're attending! There will be vendors there that the venue has worked with, so we see it as a great opportunity to meet them in person! We have a few vendors left to book, so we'll be using the open house as a way to meet the vendors we still need.

Yes! We only attended one but I liked it! We didn't end up booking the venue, but we met a bunch of different vendors and some provided discounts for meeting them at the open house - we did book the DJ that was there and got $200 off! Almost went with a cake baker and a photographer that were both there too.

We went to one to see the venue we wound up booking. We did the open house instead of a venue tour. It was cool to see it decorated and get a feel of the room. We also got to see other vendors and got a discount on booking the venue for attending the open house.

So similar to a bridal show but at the venue. Definitely take advantage of that because even if you don't decide on the venue, you may still find a vendor you love. Plus take advantage of tastings.

I have no idea what a wedding open house is. Never heard of it.

We went to our venue's Open House and booked that same day. Its really a great tool for narrowing down venues and seeing how they operate. We also received 3 included perks for booking same day. I recommend going to one, if only for the freebies/goodies they offer lol.

They can be worth it, but they can also be overwhelming. We went to 2 because it allowed us to see the venues as well as taste some of the foods! One of the venues we even won $500 off if we booked with them, but we had chosen to go with another venue. There's usually all kinds of vendors there and if you are going to a vendor open house vs. a bridal expo, the vendors that are there tend to be the ones that the venue uses/recommends, so you would get a good idea of the vendors they have good relationships with. Honestly though, we didn't get any of our vendors through an open house. We did however eliminate some based, so I guess I'd consider it worth it!
