Wedding nightmares anyone!?

Tiffany, on September 18, 2019 at 12:38 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 17
My wedding isn’t until 6/2021 & I’ve experienced my first wedding nightmare. Is this normal? Will they go away?!

I think they are quite normal. I haven’t had many of them. They mostly consist of me walking down the aisle, tripping and falling face first into the dirt.

I've had 2, and the wedding isn't until Feb!

1 was no one came, the other was me gwtting in a huge fight with one of the bridesmaids who was bailing on the wedding.

All I can think about is how much worse is it going to get???

Yes, I have nightmares about the most mundane things like white vs ivory linens or forgetting to put on makeup. Someone told me that after the wedding, they continued to have "PTSD dreams." I'm already scared!

I haven't had any, but FH keeps telling me he's been having them about me leaving him at the alter, not being able to find me anywhere. I think they're pretty normal the closer you get to your date, as you're probably more stressed out.

Geez I hope I don’t have many more 😩 my dream was only 25/150 people showed & I owed more than half the money at my venue at the end of the night and FH rebooked the venue again for a couple days later for people who didn’t show as they were given the wrong address & it was the same amount of people that showed again it was horrible lol

I've had two or three wedding nightmares so far. During the dream, it's so stressful, but I actually laugh when I wake up and thank God it wasn't real Smiley xd For my first nightmare, I was starting to walk down the aisle but noticed none of our guests were paying attention (they were all chit-chatting and mingling like it was cocktail hour), and my FH was standing up at the altar with his arms crossed and looked like he did not care he was getting married. I started yelling "hello, the bride is coming! Pay attention" but no one listened to me. I was soooo frustrated.

I had another one a week ago. I walked down the aisle, all of our friends were there (family wasn't there, but in my dream that was ok lol), we said our vows, kissed each other, and then realized our officiant was never there and we didn't sign the papers hahahaha the frustrating part was that I was trying to unlock my phone to see if our officiant called or texted, but it wouldn't unlock!!! I finally unlocked it and saw I had a dozen text messages from the officiant asking where the wedding is and how to get there Smiley xd

They're normal. Maybe they have to do with things you're actually nervous about?

I had mine even before we got engaged and then I've had them sporadically ever after! 24 days to go until our big day! Smiley smile

I get them ever now and then! I really don't remember what any of them are about after the fact. But I always tend to panic enough when I wake up to wake FH as well🤣

They're normal. My FH is the one who had the bad one. I did dream that when I went for alterations they were way to costly for a bustle so I started looking for "decorate" velcro LOL When I went in for my first fitting the girl who was taking care of me thought that was hysterical

I woke up just shaking my head LOL. Luckily it didn't come to that, the alterations were fairly affordable.

OMG! I have recently been having nightmares and our big day is 7 months away.

I first dreamt that I forgot to get food & beverages lol, my next one was that the bridal boutique messed up my dress order and I received someone else's dress, and my most recent one was that I forgot to book hair & makeup for the big day. I guess I'm just worried about missing something??? Lol

But I have a feeling this is completely normal! & SHOULD go away!
