Wedding Nightmare

Nicole, on May 17, 2020 at 7:38 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6
I had my first wedding nightmare last night and it felt so real. Thank god it wasn’t! Here’s a list of everything that went wrong lol
-We got married, but we forgot to get a marriage license and I remembered in the middle of our reception
-I didn’t realize I didn’t have my bouquet until towards the end of the reception, and then I realized the florist had delivered it earlier.. in a box unassembled! I begged my photographer who was about to leave to wait a few minutes while I tried to arrange my bouquet since I wanted photos with it. It looked horrible lol-We did the cake cutting and eating, and after realized the photographer wasn’t there yet. So we had no cake/cake cutting photos-it was raining (probably because it was raining hard last night in real life lol) -our wedding didn’t even end yet and people left so early, so we were just sitting there in the dark all sad-our photographer was being really impatient with us and barely took photosSo yeah, that was my horrible dream and thought I’d share because I woke up laughing with relief lol anyone else had similar dreams?

I had nightmares all the time during the wedding planning process. All I could do was remind myself they weren't real.

It’s normal but what I do is, I write down everything that went wrong and find ways to make sure these nightmares don’t actually come true. Personally I believe in dreams so I take them really seriously lol.

Yea I usually think wedding dreams have to do with things you’re legit nervous about in real life. I know I for sure had wedding dreams

I haven't had these yet, but hopefully I don't get there! It sounds like those could be things you're really worried about, though, so maybe reach out to vendors an extra time to ensure the timelines are established, etc.

YES! I've had quite a few, especially since the whole COVID thing popped up. Most notably were:

    - Photographer didn't show up and I didn't realize until after the ceremony

    - Wedding wasn't at our venue and barely anyone showed up (Like 10/130)

    - Our wedding was at a restaurant (not our venue, again) and we rushed the wedding so my dress wasn't tailored yet and I had to walk down the aisle with those huge clips on the back like at my dress appointments

Waking up and realizing these weren't real was a huge relief, but I do find that when I'm stressed about things, I dream about them. At least we can laugh about how silly they are. You're not alone! Smiley laugh

Omg this is so similar to my own nightmare! Our wedding is set for July 17th and I have been having the wedding dreams like crazy lately. Yeah so I forgot the flowers as well. People are missing and for some reason my hair was a mess and nothing how I wanted it to be. No one seem to want to help! Just craziness! I woke up laughing as well! So when I told my fiance he laughed and said you need to make a list of everything for everyone so nothing like this happens lol! These nightmares are all over the place!
