Wedding night question..

Rachel, on February 1, 2017 at 7:50 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 27

Are you wearing lingerie under your dress or changing into it after? Or are you not even worrying about it?

We are waiting until marriage for sex, so I wanted to wear the cute bridal lingerie, but under my dress, all day? Not happening. And with the top of my dress, I couldn't even do it. But would it be weird to change out of my dress and into it after?

I'm not bothering, because knowing me and FH, we'll be too tired to do the deed that night. However, I do plan on getting some pretty lacy things for the honeymoon!

I was just thinking about this even though it's super early. I think I'd like to shower after wedding and put it on. Gonna be a long, sweaty day lol

Save it for the wedding night or honeymoon. A lot of couples don't even have sex the wedding night because they're way too exhausted (we didn't until we got home the next day). Whatever you wear under your dress is going to be sweaty by the end of the night, and you'll definitely want to take a shower.

Honestly, you may be too exhausted at the end of the day to sex. I have no intention of wearing anything cute or sexy under my dress. If we do have the energy to have some night time fun, I will just change into something when he get to the hotel.

You wear structured day wear to keep everything in place under the dress. Corset, Spanx, etc. And then you change at night. But there's a high chance nothing will be happening on your wedding night. You will be exhausted. I didn't even have a dance party and we were too tired and just went to bed. It's emotional and happy stress, but it's still a long day.

"let me slip into something more comfortable" is a cliche for a reason. you'll definitely have time to change.

Under my dress I'm just wearing a thong or something. The dress is corset back and has enough support for my chest too so I don't have to wear spanx or anything. It holds everything in really well.

I ordered some new lingerie for the honeymoon but I don't have too much of an expectation for the night of because we will both be tired. Knowing us though it will probably still happen anyway.

I'll be passed out after the wedding. Saving anything like that for the honeymoon if I bother with it at all.

I changed into lingerie when we got to the hotel. I would not have wanted to be wearing that all day. Plus I was super sweaty by the end of the night.

Change out of your dress, take a bath and relax, and if you still feel like having sex then put it on

I don't know about you, but lord knows I sweat like an animal in heavy clothing ie: a giant gown AND especially under pressure, I'll definitely need a shower before any post wedding lingerie goes on....

And that's if we don't pass out first lol

I bought really cute lingerie too (ok, so maybe like 20 cute lingeries lol). I'm already due for my period on our wedding day and we are planning on going somewhere with our friends after the reception is over. We plan on sleeping after that. We talked about waiting until the day after but, if I do get my period, it'll probably be another 5 day wait.

This gets asked on here on at least a bi-monthly basis, if not weekly. The majority of the advice is: shape wear is not sexy, shape wear is functional. Wear what will make you look and feel best in your dress, but account for weather, dancing, sweat, etc. Then change into lingerie after the party.

Sorry, I'm new to the forums. I posted one in December but haven't been on since until tonight when I was doing some shopping online and thought about this.

I was exhausted and sweaty when we got to our hotel. DH and I each took a shower and then crashed. I brought lingerie to change in to but never used it that night. Doesn't hurt for you to bring something to change in to but like others have said, don't put too much pressure on yourselves to make love that night. We waited until the honeymoon for all that and I am glad we did.

You always are going to have to "change" into lingerie. It's not awkward. You just go get ready and walk out sexy Smiley winking

I'm planning to shower and change into something. Having a late morning wedding, so I think we have a good chance at giving it a go.
