Wedding Night Nerves....

No, Zach and I are both nervous and we've even talked about it in depth. I'm pretty sure it's normal.

However, I knew my dress was going to be a pain so I'm going to have someone else help me out of it, get into some comfy clothes, and then stick some lingerie on when we decide to get intimate. But what makes YOU feel comfortable is what is important. If you want him to close his eyes - by all means, have him close his eyes!

Not weird at all - I think having him close his eyes is a practical AND sexy idea haha

Is he going to have to undo tonnes of buttons or anything? That might be quite difficult with eyes closed!!

Even though we are not waiting I want to surprise him with lingerie. My plan is to have my MOH come with me to the house and help me out of my dress and everything while he locks up the house.

I actually read about this on another forum a while back, I'll try to find the link for you. A lady asked pretty much the same question you did, and several men chimed in and said that they really, really enjoyed helping their new wife out of their wedding dress and it was really a very special and sweet moment which meant a lot to them. I asked my FH about it and was surprised that he liked the idea too. The other men suggested that if the lady was self-conscious, maybe don't have all the lights on so the room is dimmer and you don't feel over-exposed.

Just a thought. I know it *seems* un-sexy to be finangling your way out of yards of dress, but apparently men like it!

@HappyGirl I did not think about guys liking it. If I can get something cute to wear under my dress that still smooths things I will have to do it. I know FH would love to do that.

I think my new husband will find it hot to get me out of the dress! you can finagle sexily lol

I'm buying something special to wear under my dress, I won't be able to get out of it by myself either. I think it's awesome that you have waited.

Helping you out of your dress could be sexy. It's like he's "unwrapping" his beautiful wife. Even if he fumbles a bit, you guys will probability laugh it off and that can help ease the tension.

My FH asked if I was leaving my dress on after the wedding and I told him I had planned to but we could change if he wanted to and I got a resounding "Hell no!! I want to take you out of that dress."

I had him unzip it just enough but I took it off in the bathroom and changed into a cute set

I'm awkward and he's fully aware of that, so there's nothing more I could do to embarrass myself.

I have a corset back dress and don't have to wear any bra with it - so no buttons but the tie for the corset is going to be stuffed inside the skirt. Very interesting about your FH liking taking the dress off. Hmmmm I think I will ask my FH to see if he would like that. I don't want to ruin it for him even if I would feel awkward lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like this. Thanks ladies!!!!!

I think its great you are waiting till you get married, wish I had that will power. I think your FH will love helping you out your dress. My FH has stated he would love to help me out my dress on our wedding night. I'm super clumsy so ill need the help for sure lol

Do you HAVE to leave the reception in your dress? Would it be possible to have your MOH help you out of wedding dress into another dress to actually leave? Also, after a whole day in undergarments and wedding dress you may want to shower at the end of the day before engaging in some bow-chicka-wow-wow. Just a thought....take or leave...

It should be possible for him to undo the back of the dress without seeing everything. Just hold the front to your chest as he unlaces and then head into the bathroom to slide the dress off and get changed.

I don't have to leave in my dress, we just thought it would be a fun experience to do - kinda like the movies lol Our wedding theme is Storybook Love, so it's a perfect ending to our fairytale wedding

My only concern is I'll have to tape, but I'm not sure how much. That's not going to be too attractive.

I'm sitting here trying to remember how I ended up out of my dress. No idea. I don't know if I had help or not.

My fiancé and I are waiting till marriage too! I would get outta the dress yourself and put on something comfortable and cute that's what I will probably do! Even freshen up first! I'm nervous too girl
