Wedding night hotel room?

jessica, on April 24, 2016 at 8:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are getting married in the town where we live. We're trying to decide if it's worth it to pay for a hotel room for the wedding night. We could just stay at our own place. But a hotel room would mean we could have breakfast with our out-of-town guests. What is everyone else doing?

Definitely worth it. Splurge on your wedding night and get a room. It's your wedding night! Smiley smile We did and so glad we did! We did not have breakfast with anyone tho. We wanted to enjoy our 1st day as husband and wife with our kids, just us. The wedding wipes you out!

I heard that no matter what, it is still worth it to get a hotel room. In my case, we are also getting married in the city we live in and his immediate family will be staying at his house and my immediate family will be staying at my house so for sure that is something we are going to do.

Hotel. I hate the idea of coming home to a messy house that I'm probably going to leave in shambles on my way out to my wedding!

I was debating about this too, but I'm really lucky because my parents took care of the debate and gifted a night in a suite for my 30th bday this past January. I was super happy to take that cost out of the budget!

ETA - the hotel will be worth it. You don't have to clean up, etc and it will have a nice big bed (for me this is huge because we still have a full and are waiting to buy a queen until after we buy a house).

I'd say it's totally worth it. We're getting married 15 minutes from our home, and I'm staying in a hotel suite the night before with some of my BMs and the night of with FH. I think it'll feel a hell of a lot more special than staying at home.

I think it would be a really nice treat! Stay at the hotel and keep the celebration going with your guests over brunch the next day Smiley smile

We are getting a hotel! Also so we can have an airport transfer so we don't have to worry about airport long-term parking during the honeymoon.

Ours is in the same town we live in, but we are going to stay in a hotel. I think it'll be worth it and spice things up.

It's your day. Compared to all the expenses, a hotel is relatively inexpensive. I say treat yourself to the hotel suite and enjoy the night and next day with your fiancé. It's a great way to make it feel like it's not over by morning!

We are getting married 10 mins away from our house but the hotel we booked for our wedding block is comping us a suite the night of our wedding which is great because the venue is just 3 miles away.

Side note: if your hotel block doesn't offer it off the bat it may be worth asking for!

We're getting a motel. We're renting our house now and have 2 dogs. We decided to get a motel and just relax, it just wouldn't sink in if we were to stay home.

We're going to splurge and get a hotel room...I'll be staying in it the night before so I can have it all day to get ready with my bridesmaids, then using it for after the wedding
