Wedding makeup

Are you doing your own makeup for your wedding? Are you having it done by a friend or family member? At a salon? Having someone come to you that day?

I'm still trying to decide what i'm doing. I'm good at doing my own makeup, but I do want to look extra special that day. I can' afford a makeup artist though, so I may ask my FH's sister who always looks well made-up to help me

The same girl is doing my hair and make up for me and my entire bridal party. She is coming to my bridal suite at the venue. I just decided it wasn’t something I wanted to mess with myself and risk it turning out bad. So I did my hair & makeup trial with the HMU artist and booked her.

I'm doing my own makeup. I have all the things I need, no need to meet someone and do tone matching, trials, etc. Can spend money on other things like my nails Smiley laugh 💅

I am doing my own. I know what looks good on my skin type and I know how to make it last all day. Not saying that a pro wouldn’t know these things, but I just feel like I know my face best. I am not going to waste money on something I feel perfectly confident in doing myself. Now hair... that’s a whole different story! I suck at hair. Lol

I'm going to need to find a pro. I NEVER wear mu. For my wedding this is a must for me. My friends don't wear much and I want to look flawless for once.

I will be doing my own makeup too. I plan on trying out a few different looks and then practicing a lot before the wedding.

I’m doing my own. I usually don’t wear makeup, but I when I do, I prefer a VERY simple and light look, so I feel more confident and secure doing it myself to get exactly what I want!

I’m confident with doing my own makeup but it was easier to have someone do it for me. I tend to stab myself with mascara when I get in a hurry or get nervous. Lol

I haven't decided if I want my makeup done or not. If I do get it done, it will probably be my sister doing it.

My HMUA will be coming to my venue to do my hair & makeup, some of my bridesmaids, mom, and maybe my FMIL’s. I’m pretty good at doing makeup, but I wanted to pamper myself the day of my wedding. For me, it’s worth the cost!

I'm going to be doing my own. I love shopping for makeup, and I forsee myself wearing a non traditional lip color, so any excuse to go into Ulta and look at palletes.

I don’t normally wear makeup, and I’m not the best at applying it, so I’m hiring someone. I will be having 2 people come to my venue to do both hair and makeup for my bridal party, my mom, and myself.

My "adopted" aunt (long time family friend that has been in my life since I was 6 & has always treated me like her family) is a beautician & will be coming to the venue to do hair for me & my girls that want her to do theirs. Her step-daughter is a cosmetologist & will be doing make up 😊 I have given my girls the option of having their hair/make-up done by them or doing their own because I don't want to make it hard financially on any of them 🙂

I’m doing my own. I’m very into makeup and so are my bridesmaids. I will more than likely buy a few new items and I feel like that’s more cost effective. If I buy a $40 foundation, I will get months of use from it.

Pro! I’m ok with makeup but not good enough for “forever” wedding photos. My MUA did a great job. Well worth the splurge.

I am, but if I didn't have experience doing it for others under pressure on their wedding days, I most certainly would not be doing my own makeup. I'm not a hairstylist, though, so even though I will have LOTS of input, one of my bridesmaids (pro stylist; we met at a job many years ago) will be handling my hair that day.

Going to ask one of my bridesmaids if she would do my makeup. She does a great look.
