Wedding is approaching and having doubts...

My fiancé and I have been together for over 2 years. Everything seemed great until we got engaged and we've been fighting more than ever. We have a little over 3 months before the wedding and last night I talked with him about calling it off before friends, family, and ourselves throw anymore money into it. We love each other more than anything and we want the best for one another. I'm so confused because I love him so deeply but I can't help but feel like he is not the one for me anymore. I've read that this can be normal, but I feel like I have repetitive doubts that were every couple of weeks and now every couple of days. We would fight, I would realize how stupid I was feeling, we would make up, everything would be bliss and then it would happen all over again. I don't know what to do because when the wedding plans are on- I'm not excited about planning and all I can think about it calling it off. When an end is in sight for us, I can't help but want to hold on...

Are the fights about the wedding or planning? Dh and I argued a lot during planning. It's stressful. We talked about canceling the big wedding and eloping. We still wanted to be married but had doubts about the big shabang.

If your doubts are about your relationship I would seek counseling if you want to try to work it out. If you don't think it's worth saving cancel and start healing.

Postpone at least. You need to sort out your feelings. How does your FH feel?

Is it possible that this is just wedding related stress causing you to fight more? There's so much planning and money involved that maybe that's causing you guys to be a little more on edge than normal.

My husband and I went through this right before our wedding. I cannot speak to other people's situations but I cannot even imagine not being married to him now. We were both so incredibly stressed out and to top it off we (like idiots) stopped having sex a month beforehand. NEVER DO THAT. Worst idea ever. Seriously though, just have a really open heart to heart and get to the bottom of what's bothering you both. I agree with the pre-marital counseling! If after all that you still feel horribly uneasy, just call it off. No matter the cost or embarrassment you may feel, please save yourself the trouble of a divorce.

Please talk to a counselor before making any brash decisions. I was having a similar situation with my fiancé. Weddings can be so stressful and the stress that we encounter weighs heavy on us. This are much better now but I have made several agreements with myself and did a lot of soul searching. Not everyone is the same but give counseling a chance, it may help you sort through your emotions and get down to the root of the problem.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you worried about the fighting? Maybe the stress of planning a wedding causes you both to be irritable or maybe you both need to work on how to resolve your conflicts with a counselor? You say you love each other very much. If that's the case, then why is he maybe not "the one"? Every relationship requires work.

My name is Mari Fraire...not sure why it wont show on my name.....i can tell you that my bff had the same issue. Her fiance actually called the wedding off multiple times bc he is that dramatic...they fought a lot near the end but always made up. They did get married just 2 months ago and as far as i k ow they are happily living their lives together. Ask yourself if you see your life next to your fiance...if you dont then talk about it.

This may not be what you want to hear but I really don't think anyone should have that much anxiety about the person you're marrying. I know the thought of breaking up probably freaks you out too. Does not getting married mean you guys will break up all together ? Or can you go back just to being BF/gf for a while ? How far are you in wedding planning ? Have you already sent invites ?
