Wedding invites, save the date, rsvp

Autumn, on February 27, 2018 at 6:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Anyone know a website where you can purchase a package for all three items (invite, save the date, and RSVP) I'm going to send them all at once. Thank you.

Not sure on a site, but Save the dates go out earlier. Invites/Rsvp 6-8weeks advance.

I just want to send a save the date magnet with the invite. A lot of my friends did that this year and thought it was cute. So would prefer all in one to make it easier.

You do not send a save the date at the same time as an invitation. There is literally no reason to do that because your invitation will have your date on it. If you don't send a STD most people will mark their calendars then hang the invitation on the fridge.

A STD is totally optional, and would be sent 6-8 MONTHS before your wedding, whereas an invitation & RSVP is sent 6-8 WEEKS before your wedding.

You can certainly buy them all at once, but definitely don't send them together.

ETA just saw your above comment. Your plan is just going to cost you extra money unnecessarily. And if you had your heart set on doing this you have time to purchase STDs and invitations separately, then send them together if that's what you really want to do.

I want to send some save the date magnets maybe I worded this wrong. Not two invites. One with actual invation and a cute save the date magnet with a picture that they can put on their fridge. All my friends did this and it was sent with the invites. I was assuming it was popular. AIm not gomna send two things of paper with the same info.

I think I understood what you meant, but what I'm saying is that the only purpose of a STD is to inform guests of the date (and maybe the city the wedding is being held in), before the actual invitation is sent. An STD is basically like a "heads up!"

So sending them with the invitation doesn't really make sense.

If you want to spend the extra money on a magnet you do you. Like I said in my first comment edit, you have time to purchase them separately even if you are going to send them together. My point being you don't necessarily have to find somewhere to purchase them all together.

The PP was correct above. A save the date is an informal way to give your guests a heads up to when your wedding is. I sent mine out 6 months before, so people can plan to be free and start getting hotels. The actual invite is more formal and you send the RSVP card with that. I have never seen or heard of anyone sending them together, it wouldnt make much sense...and its going to cost you a ton of money to mail the invitaion and the save the dates together.

Etsy has some great options for magnets and invites. I get what you’re saying, it’s not truly a save the date, just a little reminder for your guests. Theres plenty of options for the theme you’re going with. I looked at this particular shop when I was toying with the idea. (I ended up just sending an invite bc we’re doing a cruise wedding so the guests know the day since they’ve booked already). Many shops can do custom orders to include everything you need

We got our STD magnets at vistaprint.com. After we made them (but before checkout), there were options to add complementary Invitations, RSVP cards, Thank you cards, etc. They were a pretty good price!
