Wedding invite advice

Mrs. Lewis, on September 12, 2019 at 8:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Hey there!
So I'm ordering my invites tmrrw and I’m not sure which way to go. So I decided I want to add a photo to our invitations. We are having a formal wedding and i heard a picture makes it more casual. I seen where the photo is on the back vs the front, so the front can still be formal and a picture on the back (bc i think it’s cute and my guest can use the invite as a framed photo after the wedding). I was thinking of doing a black and white picture from our engagement shoot on the back bc i want the front to be white with black writing. What are your thoughts around this? And before anyone asks, I had ordered my save the dates prior to our engagement photos so that’s not an option to add a pic to my save the dates.

A black and white photo on the back is perfectly acceptable.

I think it’s a cute idea. But I doubt anyone beyond parents will repurpose and frame the invitation/photo. Sorry! You could use the photos for holiday cards.

You can have the text be in silver or gold foil depending on what your colors are. It makes it more fancy.

I think if you added a border and it wasn't the whole back it might feel more formal. More like a matted photo?

I really like the black and white. I think it adds a formal touch!

This invite is on my short list of options too! I love it! I'm considering doing the black & white.

I like the black and white photo on the back, and I agree with adding some kind of border if possible. Super cute!
