2-3 months out is pretty typical.

I think 4-6 months in advance, with RSVP'S needed a month before.

Wouldn't that be for Save the Date's?

It's a matter of preference, our planner is sending out invitations far in advance because some guests will be traveling some distance.

Wedding date twins! I plan to send out my invitations in July, but I am going to send the Save the Dates earlier than 6 months since 10/10/20 is a SUPER popular date. One of my friends is torn between attending my wedding or another girl's wedding in two different states.

4-5 months for out of town/state guests and 2-3 for local guests.

Twinning!!! 10-10-2020 as well, I am sending out Save the dates February and then the Invitations End of July/Beginning August. So 2-3 months before. Wedding isn't out of town either.

I believe Save the Dates is 6 months and the invitations are 3 months before the wedding.

6-8 weeks for a local wedding and 8-12 weeks for a DW. For your RSVP deadline, I would give yourself a week extra from the time your vendors need your final head count so you have time to chase people down.
