Wedding invitations

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to ask.. when was/is your wedding and when did you send your invitations?

My wedding is September 17, 2022 and I have ideas when I should send my wedding invitations but at the same time I’m not sure when the right time is to send invitations. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

Invitations should be sent 6–8 weeks in advance. Any earlier and guests won't be able to give a firm RSVP because they won't know their schedule yet.

I sent my invitations out 7 1/2 weeks ahead of the RSVP date. We sent them a little earlier than average because 1. mail has been a little slow. It took two weeks for some of our guests to get their invites. and 2. our room block closes at the end of May and wanted to give people enough time to book their rooms (the room block info went out with invites).

Date twins!!! We're sending ours the first week of July And we set our rsvp date as August 13 to give ourselves time to receive all of them and track down any missing ones before we have to give final counts

We're planning to send ours out about a month before the RSVP deadline. That'll be in the 6-8 week window, give guests a few weeks to a month to RSVP (depending on how long the mail takes), and they'll still have some time to book into the room block if they haven't yet.

I’m getting married October 9th. We’ll be sending out late July so they’ll Latrobe to people early august. So we’ll be a little longer than the 6-8 week timeline but everyone has to travel to our wedding so we wanted to give people enough time to get their accommodations etc

My wedding was 2/22/22. We sent our Save the Date cards in early November 2021 (about 3.5 mos. beforehand) and then sent our formal Invitations just after Christmas (2 mos./8 weeks beforehand).

6-8 weeks is a normal timeline for invites, unless you have a destination wedding or something else out of the ordinary going on. We chose to send Save the Dates as well as invites so our guests knew well in advance that our wedding was on a Tuesday and that they might have to take time off work.

I’m getting married September 17th as well and we are sending out are invitations in the middle of July and we are going to require the RSVP deadline to be August 6th which is exactly 6 weeks before the wedding date.

I sent my save the dates out at the end of March/early April and I will be sending my invites out end of August/early September for my November wedding. RSVP deadline is October 5 one month before the big day.

We actually sent ours out 15 weeks before our wedding! We probably could've waited until 10 weeks before to send them out, but I didn't see an issue with sending them early. Also, we made our RSVP deadline 4 weeks before our wedding and looking back I would've made it 5-6 weeks before.

I would do it right at the beginning of July. It gives your guests plenty of time to make accommodations and enough time to gather RSVPs for your venue.
