Wedding invitations

The post about invitation inserts got me thinking...I haven’t looked at invitations yet. What is typically included insert wise? What would you ladies and gentlemen consider must haves? And what should be included on our website instead?

Invitation inserts can include RSVP cards, directions cards, "details" or "accommodations" cards. We plan on just having RSVP cards and including the rest of the information on our website Smiley smile

I only included an RSVP card. The invitation page I used the back of it as directions also to save paper.

I'm including a RSVP card and an Accommodations card as the hotel mentioned they book up pretty quickly. I want to make sure that the details on how to book are provided to the guests ASAP.

You may need a card for the reception if it's a different place than the ceremony and there isn't room on the main invitation. RSVP card is pretty much mandatory. Menu choices may be necessary if people have to choose in advance and the items aren't simple enough to include on the RSVP card. Accommodations may be useful if you have a hotel block, for example. People used to include directions, but with GPS, they don't usually nowadays unless the location is one that Google maps gets wrong.

We plan on just having the RSVP card and an accommodations card (the venue/ hotel where we are having the wedding) actually provides them to us. With my STDs, I'm also including a small business card that I made on Vistaprint that has our wedding website information; the website has all the information about hotels and our room block. I did it this way since most of my FH's family is from out of state so they can make travel plans!

We didn't include inserts other than the RSVP card- namely to save on waste and postage- and instead included our website on the invitation.

We used seal and send invite like these https://www.annsbridalbargains.com/seal-and-send-wedding-invitations/?mrkgcl=1161&mrkgadid=3209528610&rkg_id=0&adpos=1t1&creative=228148258448&device=c&matchtype=e&network=g&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3JXtBRC8ARIsAEBHg4mtSqtTaIrEvNGJeXbAt0KD5JdxOalRwuxMIjLDseR00Ls2QSXefWIaAokcEALw_wcB

and included names, time and place of ceremony, time and place of reception. room blocks were communicated by mouth or on the website. registry info was on shower invitations and website only.

Thanks so much everyone! I just sent our STD’s and they have a link to our website which has my hotel block on it, and details about the ceremony and reception (at the same place)
So I’ll definitely need the RSVP card with menu choices and perhaps an extra sheet of info. Thanks!
