What amount of time before your wedding should you send out invitations? I have roughly 11 months left.

They are sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. The replies are generally due back a couple weeks before so you have time to track down anyone who didn't reply and tally the headcount for your caterer/venue.

Informal save the dates can be sent out 6 months ahead as a heads up to let people arrange time off from work and make travel plans, but they can be as simple as an email or text. You don't need to make them elaborate or expensive.

6 to 8 weeks normally, up to 12 weeks before if it's a destination or more than a few hours drive travel required event.

My wedding is 2/14/21, but I have to send the invitations at the end of November because our room block at the hotel only gave guests until 12/28/20 to book at the block rate.

6-8 weeks is considered "normal", a little more time if you have international guests.

Most wedding websites and books have a handy timeline for you to use, so you can keep yourself organized. Try the "planning" tool at the top of the page.

6-8 weeks, earlier up to 3 months if it's destination. I wouldn't go any earlier than 3 months, and really 3 months is too early for a local wedding.

Like the previous posters, it is commonly 6-8 weeks. However, my husband and I got married in February, we sent our invitations out the day after Thanksgiving with an RSVP date of January 15th but gave our guests until January 25th before we starting contacting those we did not hear from. We did this b/c we knew some of our guests wouldn't put their RSVP back in the mail until it's due date - which happened, lol. We sent ours out a little early b/c we had a lot of out-of-town guests and we wanted to make sure they had plenty of time to start looking for hotels, flights, get time off of work and so on.
