Wedding invitations with brooches

Gettingmarriedin2016, on March 6, 2016 at 3:02 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

Is anybody sending invitations with brooches? I don't want my invitations to get damaged when they're getting processed at the post office. What can I do on my end to ensure they'll be ok. My brooch is not too big (picture attached). if you have sent invitations with brooches in the past please share your experience. Thanks!

Im not doing this but i think its beautiful. just be aware that the additional weight of the brooches may drive up your postage costs

It's very pretty. Hand stamped for sure, but probably a padded envelope as well....

I had pearls, and heart shaped buckles, and they arrived to all my guest still intacted. Yay!

BTW: Your invitations are gorgeous! I really hope they don't get damaged in the mail. ETA: We hand stamped ours, double envelope, and we paid 0.91 per invite.

Recommend padded envelope and postage will be more. Is it worth it? Your invitation is very pretty even without the brooch.

I would agree with a padded envelope. But make sure you get the correct postage when ready to mail them.

We went the inexpensive route......... we placed the rsvp card and rsvp envelope on top to pad the buckle instead of behind the invitation. We were not using inner envelopes.

Very pretty! I recommend the padded envelope or a thin bubble wrap/foam layer.
