Wedding invitations ca save date quality

So I saw on some sites there’s 50% off save the dates, where that’s not the case for wedding invitations. I saw that there are sizing and paper options for both. Do you think it would be okay to buy save the dates and invites and you customize the text? Am I missing something that may make the invites look less formal doing this?

We’re also doing online RSVP...we really only need the actual invitation.

Are you saying that you want to use a save the date template as a wedding invitations by changing the wording? If so, that sounds like a doable plan. I’ve seen save the date designs that look just like invitation designs. As long as you get the necessary wedding info out to your guests is all that matters.
