Wedding Invitation Wording

FH and I are from very similar yet different religious backgrounds. Our ceremony will incorporate religious traditions from both sides. We’d like to steer away from the very formal and traditional: “Mr and Mrs John Smith request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter...” What would you suggest?

You only use request the honor of your presence if you’re having the ceremony in a place of worship. If you aren’t you would use request the pleasure of your company or something similar.

Thank you. Smiley laugh We were thinking "with their families", but my fiance comes from a blended family and didn't want to offend anyone.

“Together with their families Bride and Groom...”
“Please join us for the wedding of...”
”With great joy you are inviting to celebrate the marriage of...”
”The honor of your presence...” is meant for ceremonies taking place in a house of worship.

I didn't know the "honor of your presence" was used only for houses of worship. Guess it didnt matter what we used because we got married in a church but i forgot what we even put so I just looked at our photos haha.
We used "Bs Parents and Gs Parents joyfully invite you to celebrate the wedding of B & G"

FH and I didn't include our parents' names on the invites. We only had our names on there: "Please join us for the wedding celebration of (FH) and My Name"
