Kay, on December 25, 2019 at 12:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hi everyone

I just needed some advice as to if I am wording this correctly on my invitations. I searched high and low on google and no concrete answer. My fiance's parents are divorced so I am unsure if I am using the correct wording. Also I just wan to know overall if my owrding is correct.

Perfect. The main thing is to give them the own last names cause they arent together anymore. Looks good to me.

This website has a pretty comprehensive list of etiquette and personal considerations to help you land on the right wording: https://www.womangettingmarried.com/proper-wedding-invitation-wording-2/

Counter to a prior comment, the site above says mother and father should not be on the same line if they are no longer married.

Depending upon who’s hosting (because Bride and Groom only go at the top if you are hosting, etiquette wise), how formal your wedding is, who’s remarried and your FH’s relationship with any step parents, you might like:BrideandGroomTogether with their familiesMr. and Mrs. Bride’s Parents[Mr. and] Mrs. Groom’s MotherMr. [and Mrs.] Groom’s FatherRequest the pleasure of your company...
Let your parents take a look at your wording and give you any ideas as well. This can be a delicate topic, so better to let them see a proof before it arrives printed in the mail at their home.

Hmm... not sure why the formatting is jacked. This app is a mess today. 🤪 But if you click the link you’ll see how it’s supposed to go.

The 26th is a Friday (just FYI). The 27th is the Saturday.
