SO..... SO..... I just received ALL 125 of our foil pressed invitations in the mail to find that I made a typo on the back of the invitation (we decided to provide reception/guest accommodation info on the back of our invite, rather then including a separate card to be a little more eco-friendly).

I had 7 people go over our proof for all parts of our invitations (including my fiance, MOH, MOB and MOG) prior to submitting it. However, upon re-reading the information on the BACK of our primary invitation card while prepping to send them out, I realized that under the "Guest Accommodations" heading there is a minor typo. It states,"Please use the following to link reserve your room.....(cont. guest info)," rather then, "Please use the following link to reserve your room".

My fiance said he didn't even notice it until I pointed it out, but I'm FREAKING OUT! Do you all think this worth paying $500 to re-print all of our invitations, because of this minor typo on the back?!?! Thanks so much!

Just send it...no one will notice it and if they do so be it...life isn't about being perfect. Smiley smile Enjoy that money you would reorder with to get a good stiff drink and on other wedding things I am sure are adding up.

I wouldn't. It's such a minor detail. Save the money.

That's frustrating. But it's pretty minor...I had to re-read what you wrote just to figure out what the error was lol. Don't waste your money!

I absolutely would NOT reprint them. People do not pay enough attention to catch that.

I wouldn't pay to reprint them, however are you 100% sure it was even your mistake? I just received something I ordered that was customized and the company made the mistake so they are replacing it for free.

Most people's brains are designed to read that sentance in the correct order, (hence all of your proof readers missing the error) so I would let it be. I bet most people won't notice it.

Fyi-a little proof reading trick...read your invitation backwards, from the bottom up. Your brain is so used to the wording you used that you will miss the typo. When you read in a different manner, your brain is more likely to catch a mistake since the wording is not familiar.

    Ok, nerd rant over. Lol!

Most people's brains autocorrect, and most people won't read your invitation that closely (aka proofread it). I would just leave it--the odds that someone will notice are small, and even if they do notice I doubt anyone will care. Certainly if that's the difference between someone attending or not, they aren't that good of a friend! Smiley smile

I had to go back and re-read this twice cause I couldn't find the typo. I would say it's not worth an extra $500!

I made an error on my RSVP cards, had the wrong send back by date! I made labels that were the same color as the Invitations, corrected the error, and stuck them over the incorrect part. Then I added a silver heart sticker to both the RSVP and Invitation so that everything would look like i did it on purpose! All I have heard is how great everything looked. I saved myself the extra money, and EXTRA freaking out! Hopefully it will all work out.

I had to read your post three times to notice you inverted to and link. Our brains are designed to skip over errors to correctly read text. I would send those babies and never think of it again.

I doubt people will notice. Definitely not worth reprinting your invites. To be honest, I had to look at it a second time to see the error.
