Wedding invitation suite

So we're just ordering the 4-panel invitations from Minted, but I'm wrapping them with ribbon and a wax seal to elevate the presentation!

I ordered a wax seal stamp from Amazon and it was like $12 maybe? We wanted something simple and classic, so we found one that's a classic southern style L with a little detailing around it. I plan on getting the ribbon from either hobby lobby or Amazon, and the same with the wax! Etsy also has great options for wax seals & stamps, and there are several shops that sell adhesive wax seals that you can customize to fit your style!

You could also order envelope liners! I've seen a lot on Etsy that are super pretty. Vellum wraps/jackets are another way to elevate your invitation suite!

We did belly bands with a monogram label of our initials on it! I really wanted to do the wax seals, but another poster on a FB group made me change my mind after she had issues with half of her invitations getting ruined by a postage machine. This was obviously before I did my own research on how to mail bulky invitations. If you do wax seal, just keep in mind to hand cancel at your local post office if your suites have any sort of "raised" or bulking accessories to it!

I love the look of the translucent vellum so I'm trying to find a way to incorporate that. Possibly doing a 2 part STD with our photo and a piece of vellum overtop with the actual details. Also considering doing a vellum bellyband with something printed on it.

I work as a graphic designer at a print shop so I feel like I have to knock all of our printed stuff out of the park lol.

Instead of your envelopes going through the machine to check postage (usually a black ink mark is drawn through to verify postage), you can ask a post office employee to hand cancel each envelope. They will hand stamp each envelope themselves instead of sending it through the postage machine that could cause damage. Some locations do charge though, I believe .27 cents per stamped envelope, and some don't do hand cancelling altogether. If you do choose this route, be sure to mention they are your wedding invitations as most employees will understand the importance behind the request!

I really enjoyed designing our invitation suite! Honestly I think what elevated it the most was the incorporation of details that brought our personalities into it. My favorite compliment I received on our suite was that “it felt like us” We did pocket invitations and used a wax seal to hold them closed. We ordered the stamp for the seal from Etsy with our own custom crest that we designed, and even my husband who just wanted to send evites was excited about how it turned out. My favorite part of our invitation suite was the watercolor map from an artist on Etsy that we had our Details card printed on the reverse side of. I also love a good envelope liner though.
