Wedding invitation etiquette

Mrs. Lewis, on September 12, 2019 at 8:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
Hey again!
As I shared in my previous post, i’m ordering my invitations tmrrw and now I have yet another decision i’m in between. My wedding colors are Blush, Navy and Dusty rose. My save the dates are blush are navy however i want my invitations to be white and black (white with black writing). Is it good etiquette if my save the dates and invites don’t match? or if my invitations don’t match my wedding colors? I’m hearing it doesn’t have to match my wedding colors but not sure what’s correct. Help me out please!!

They totally do not need to match! I had my stds done on vistaprint and my invites through elegant wedding invites.com. My invites are burgundy when our actual colors are Christmas red gold and ivory. They are still lovely.

We did ours to sort of match and I wish we didn't now. Ive seen much cuter save the dates I would have used but it's too late to really change anything though as we're married! Hah

Etiquette doesn’t care what your invitations look like. Your save the dates and invitations don’t need to match each other or your wedding decor.

Most folks wont realize at all. The only time you will see the two together is during professional photos. Definitely dont stress this one
