Wedding Interior Designer...is there such a thing?

My wedding coordinator and her team will be decorating - of course, it'll be my vision and I will provide her with the decorations.

Day/month of coordinator and your florist. The venue coordinator does not do this because they only work with the venue itself, making sure doors are unlocked, lights are on and vendors are out at curfew, etc.

While your planner and the DOC and florist all help, we hired a wedding designer who is taking my vision and working on all the details to make it a reality. She will oversee the decor and the look on the day of so my planner can focus on logistics and making sure the other vendors are where they need to be.

Thanks for your insight Viviana. I didn't know if there was really such a thing. What title do I look under for a wedding designer? I would love someone to concentrate on the decor details!

Thanks Dawn for the info. Could you tell me how you found your wedding designer? I don't know who takes care of the decor but it can't be me....I'm lacking in that dept! :-D

We are using my future MIL's friend's daughter, haha! I would start with googling designers in your city and see who comes up, you can also looks for "Event designers" rather than wedding and more options will come up that way. This is also a great thing to ask in your local facebook bridal group (search for Brides "your city" on facebook to find a group) Many planners also work with design, so when you are talking with planners you can ask if they have design experience and if they would be able to help you with that as well.
