Hi ladies! I know all the talk right now is about COVID-19, but I wanted to make a post about wedding insurance. I just received an email from a Photographer that mass emailed brides from an event. She mentioned the importance of getting wedding insurance and doing it now. PLEASE keep in mind that almost all of these companies will not honor COVID-19 as an "unforeseen circumstance" unless you had it prior to December. Most are now stating this on their websites. It is no longer unseen and they are saying it has not been since December. I emailed the Photographer back to let them know and also to advise doing their research first. I am hoping this all calms down soon but we all need to look out for one another!

Thanks for sharing! I had been putting off getting insurance since my wedding isnt until 2021 but i am definitely going to start looking into it after all of this going on!

Just saw on the WedSafe website:
"PLEASE NOTE: Our team is actively working on every inquiry. However, given the unusually high volume, response times may be longer than normal. If you need to file a claim, please follow the instructions here. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT purchase a new policy to specifically protect against the cancellation of a scheduled event because of coronavirus. Our policy contains an exclusion for “Any circumstances known to you or the honoree at the date of issue as likely to give rise to a cancellation.” Because of the widely publicized nature of COVID-19, and the fact that the World Health Organization declared this virus a Pandemic effective 3/11/2020, event cancellations related in any way to this virus will not be covered under any new policy."
