Wedding insurance is a type of event insurance that protects you in case anyone gets hurt or sick at the wedding, there is property damage, or if you have to cancel for unforeseen circumstances. Some venues require couples to purchase wedding insurance, but it is not required if your venue does not need it.

Omg please purchase 1 day wedding insurance! Our planner suggested it, so we went with it. Long story short, a cemented in ground, rotted light post fell down on chairs in the lawn where our ceremony would be 2 hours before our guests arrived! It could have ended so much worse if people got hurt. So thankful we had it because the claim is at $1700. We paid 130 for the event insurance.

My venue requires it and even offered a place to get it. It would’ve cost us $150! I called State Farm, who holds our home owners insurance. They did an add on to our home owner’s policy for the 3 days we need for our event and it only cost us $38!!! Definitely check with your insurance if you have a home owner’s policy.
