I’m not sure on the wedding band (I haven’t really looked into it much yet). You can certainly start planning now and look at dresses. I am getting married March 13th and ordered my dress last November right after getting engaged. I’m a big planner so we already have our all-inclusive venue (caterer, photographer, decor), officiant, dress, bridesmaid dresses are ordered, flowers ordered.
I would definitely say go ahead and decide on your budget (what you and FH can realistically afford to spend) and look at venues. That will be your biggest challenge most likely with so many of the 2020 couples having to reschedule for 2021.

I suggest beginning your dress search soon - start by looking online to get an idea of what styles you like, and then go try on dresses at a store! If you decide to order a new dress, it can take 4-6 months for the dress to arrive, and then plan for 2-3 months for alterations. Check with a jeweler on the cost of wedding bands - I believe they can range in price. If you haven't started looking at venues or vendors yet, I recommend looking into those as well. My wedding is May 29 2021 and i ordered my dress March 7th. I really only went that early because it was a Hayley Paige trunk show, but keep in mind that there can be rush fees to get your dress alternated quickly. I ordered mine March 7 from Kleinfeld and they said it will be in January 2021! I don’t know if that’s Hayley Paiges timeline or the salons but going soon is your best option!

With all the 2920 weddings being moved to 2021 I would suggest coming up with a budget do that you can start looking at venues now. April is usually a popular month for weddings so things might book up fast.


As for your dress you can start shopping now. Some designers have long lead times. Congratulations and happy planning.
