Wedding in Italy

Jill, on May 14, 2019 at 6:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
So I’m recently engaged! Yay!!! Has anyone been married in Italy? I’m obsessed with the entire country especially Rome. Any tips for planning would be a huge help thanks.

Thanks so much. I’m Jewish but he’s Italian. Some of my relatives are upset because I’m not having a traditional Jewish ceremony. Let the drama begin.

Co grats! Unless one of you is an Italian citizen, you will most likely need to have the legal ceremony here before a ceremony over there.

I was considering this option. We ended up just planning everything here in Texas. Would have been a lot more work but probably less money to get married in Italy.

    Hi! Congratulations for your engagement!

I live and work in Italy and I can guarantee it is the perfect place for a romantic wedding Smiley winking

My suggestion is to think about the kind of environment and atmosphere you wish to have for your ceremony and reception. Rome is a beautiful town, but Italy is plenty of marvelous options for a wedding. It really depends on kind of view you like (lakeside, seaside, countryside, etc.), kind of venue (rustic, classy, elegant, ancient villas, hotels, farmhouses, etc.) and, of course, number of guests and budget you have for your wedding.

This will help you finding the right option for your dream wedding!

As regards the legal part, it is not that complicated, but it depends on your citizenships. Anyway a symbolic ceremony is not that bad and you can personalize it as you wish.

Contact me if you want. I work in the wedding industry so I could give you helpful tips Smiley winking

Hey Jill! How are your Italian wedding plans going? Are you planning on eloping with just the two of you, or are you inviting some close family and friends to come too?
