Wedding in 2 days

Heather, on April 5, 2018 at 12:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I get married in two days.
I feel like I’m forgetting something. Someone calm my nerves and tell me what you forgot and what you wish you did on your day but didn’t!

I forgot nothing thanks to my H, and the DOC. I made sure to pack the marriage license, and guest book. I also made sure we had envelopes and cash for tips; I made sure to get all the servers and bartenders names to write on the envelopes.

Just relax and remember all that really matters is that you and your man will be a family when the celebration is over. Things are not going to be perfect the way you have imagined and they will be the way they are, so just go with the flow and most of all don't forget to enjoy every moment because it will be over before you know it. Congratulations!!

Congrats! The only thing I ran out of time for was writing letters I wanted to (for my H, mom, sister, MIL, and SIL). Just try to relax and enjoy the day, trust in your vendors and allow them to do their job. The day goes by so quick!

Congrats! I'm not married yet, but my best friend just got married and forgot A LOT so I'll go down the list for you, lol!

    She forgot:

Toiletries for the hotel- no soap or shampoo for the morning of the wedding, no deodorant (I plan to make a small "Care package" for me and for FH so we both have toiletries we need in our hotel room

Makeup- she didn't have a makeup artist and forgot her makeup bag at home, she used a lot of other peoples makeup but it wasn't what she was used to using so she felt out of her element.

Underwear- she didn't pack any underwear for the wedding day (only "nicer" undies for the wedding night...if you know what I mean...) so she want commando for the day, which was fine, but she definitely wanted something under her poofy dress.

Jewelry- bride didn't forget this, but I did! We were in charge of buying/bringing whatever we wanted to wear and I totally forgot. I didn't have anything except my earrings and engagement ring (which never comes off anyhow)

The week of my wedding I plan to make lists of everything I'll need for the hotel, wedding day, etc. And pack them in advance that way I can grab the bag on Friday and head out without worrying.

This is great, I will make sure to pack care packages prior to the day I need them.

OMG-how could she forget that stuff, her H didn't double check? I honestly don't get that. Poor planning perhaps, or I'm just a crazy person with tons of lists 😂 Double check lists on top of lists 😂

I forgot the tiered serving tray we had specifically gotten for our wedding, or rather my husband did because I asked him to grab it Smiley smile Thankfully the restaurant we hosted at had trays that they used for serving the cupcakes, so all was good in the end. Honestly when you hire professionals there aren't many forgotten things that will affect your day (except your license!). Your day will be wonderful.

I’m not married yet but I’ve heard plenty of stories. Make a check list and pack everything ahead of time. I plan on making a little bag of necessities for my bridesmaids and a basket for the grooms quarters. Just Incase. I don’t want any stink walking around at my wedding. Smiley winking

OMG! I would be so nervous and anxious try to stay hydrated these 48 hours so your makeup will look flawless and not cakey. For sure have a light breakfast or snack before starting your day. Make sure you have any tip/gratitude $$ set aside, rings and vows in one place so they won't be forgotten. Aside from that don't sweat it everything will go smoothly enjoy it. FYI don't forget your flats or sandals!
