Wedding Hashtags

I opted out of one mostly because i just am not really that big of a social media person

I’m not using one. I’m kinda old school (or just old lol)

I think they were bigger around 2014 when hashtags were a newer thing and the wedding industry started to incorporate them. Nowadays people tend to have greater privacy restrictions on their social media accounts, so the couple may not even be able to find the pictures if one of them isn't following the poster. Then you factor in that older generations don't use social media as much (if at all), a lot of people are trying to keep their online presence professional for work/ school reasons, parents may not want to post pictures of young children, etc., and I think that's all chalked up to hashtags becoming less prevalent.

I came up with ours because I was bored or trying to kill time one day. I have it on our wedding website, but I'm not planning to publicize it much.

Haahaa. It's kind of hard keeping up with these younger people. But i agree im thinking about possible not doing.

I'm not having one. I would love to see all the photos people take, but in my experience at other weddings, I looked up the hashtag and there were only like 2 posts that used it. We're planning to send a Google Drive folder to our guests after the wedding and they can upload whatever they have there.

We’re getting married and we do have a hashtag, but we aren’t pushing it for guests to use it. It’s posted on our website, but it wasn’t included on invites or anything.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Seems like something I would consider.
