Wedding Hacks

For me, getting help from those around me has been extremely useful.

when people ask how they can help, let them. A friend offered to help me make centerpieces and we invited 2 other friends and my future stepdaughter and turned it into a fun evening.

My future MIL offered to help me fill the guest bags for the hotels.

FH and his dad are making our ceremony arch and cupcake stand.

a friend is donating hay bales for guests to sit on during the ceremony.

all these little things are helping out

I borrowed a lot of stuff aha. That way I didn't need to buy it.

Also, don't be afraid to look for a wedding gown that isn't wedding or bridal. White evening dresses or prom dresses will look just as bridal for a fraction of the cost

Making the most of our long engagement and spreading out the spending and the tasks over time. It has been wonderful to pay small chunks to vendors and organize wedding details with no stress/rush.

I also have used facebook marketplace heavily for gently used wedding items and will continue to keep my ears open for deals.

Allowing others to help and loosen control of the reins. This was an enlightening moment for me and it's helped tremendously.
