What would be a casual wedding attire example for men and women? What would be dressy casual wedding attire? I need to know the difference between them so I can tell my guests. Wedding is at an Italian restaurant kind of dressy but people can go in dark jeans and dressy shoes. But for the wedding that would be too casual for me. I need more advises!

Dressy casual would be dark jeans and a polo or button up with jacket for men, for women it'd be a sundress with nicer shoes.
You could do semi formal where it's be button up shirts, no sneakers, more formal dresses for women.

Business casual. Means dark jeans or khakis and a short sleeve button up or dark jeans and a polo.

Casual would be anything from sweats to jeans and a T shirt
Dressy casual would be dark jeans and button ups or sun dresses

Ours is semi-formal, I'm assuming we will have men in slacks and men in dress jeans. I'd say semi-casual is good if you are fine with jeans.

I'd recommend checking out these links that break down wedding attire. I tried to follow these descriptions because they matched what I found online, and I wanted someone to be able to look at our website and see the attire, google it, and be able to show up and match everyone. If you notice, technically semi-formal means suit and tie for guys, not dress jeans and a button down. To be fair, I think this is one of those "know your crowd" kind of moments, but it was confusing enough to me that we included a FAQ section of our website and explicitly described and listed examples of our attire (casual cocktail).

Our wedding dress code is dressy casual. For the men, khakis and a polo or button up and for the women, a blouse or dress. We are allowing jeans/khaki type shorts but are hoping no one comes in gym shorts or flip flops.
