Wedding Guestbooks - Lined or No lines?

Lindsay, on February 15, 2017 at 7:39 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

I have started to look for guestbooks for the wedding and I wasn't sure whether I should get a lined one or one without lines? I feel like some people might want to write more than just their name but then again maybe not?

I'm not a fan of traditional guestbooks. We decided to do something we could hang and display in our home.

I would go with the one without the lines so people can write notes with their names. I like that idea better than just names on a list.

We're doing a photo book with our engagement pictures. I figure it's the only time I'll really use them. No lines needed.

i'd do with out lines. People know how to write.

I hate traditional guest books! It is up to you, but look on pinterest! We are doing quilt squares and everyone will write in the middle. My mom will then sew the squares together after the wedding and we will display it on a blanket ladder until we get sick of it :p

Mine is a photobook as well. We have about 16 pages of photos and blank space, and the last four pages are traditional lined pages. I only had 16 pages worth of epics that I could tolerate, and I have several older guests who might prefer the traditional route.

We are doing one without lines so people can write notes. I love the idea of the photo books but we didn't do engagement pictures so that is out for us.

I vote no lines so it encourages people to leave a note! I've heard of people really cherishing their guest book when older relatives pass away and they can still re-read their note to remember them.

We are doing a guestbook with our engagement photos as well. I was able to find one that had both lined pages and just open blank pages so people could pick which they wanted to do! Best of both worlds.

We decided on table number/ guestbooklets, so each table has a book with a page for each guest to sign n decorate however, also they serve as table numbers. We'll read each book by number order of years of marriage!
