Wedding guest attire

My guests already started asking me how will be the dress code. They are only around 13 guests and it will be at an romantic Italian restaurant. I’m not really sure how to describe the dress code, I have looked online but is very confusing. Do you have any suggestions for a good guide? Any website? The wedding ceremony will be at 4:30 pm and after that it will be a dinner, that’s it. Still i want to give my guests a good indication. My Future mother in law asked me and dont know what to tell her!

    Are you wanting them in gowns, long dresses, short dresses, sun dresses?

    If the restaurant has a dress code, maybe go by that?

    CDickman the restaurant is Italian Tuscany style ,but not at the point that they have a dress code in front of their business. My fiancé has gone with buttoned shirt and a pair of jeans and dressing shoes with not problem. Hi have gone with a cocktail dress.
