Wedding Gratuity

JJ12, on March 11, 2020 at 3:28 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

My wedding cost is all inclusive (dj, lighting, flowers, wedding planner, food/drink, servers, setup etc.) In my contract it says" if the staff exceeds your expectations, which is our intention, please do not hesitate to include a bonus above and beyond this pre-set gratuity for the staff."

My venue gets great reviews so I am sure I will be wowed. I am having trouble budgeting for the potential extra cost. Has anyone come across this and or budgeted for it? I know anything extra will be appreciated but I am sure there is some low and high end to this.

I didn't even think of vendor tips when making our budget, so it did become an extra expense after booking all our vendors. Luckily we came under budget in a couple areas, so it wasn't too bad. But once I remembered tips, I did add that into our budget worksheet (certain amounts for certain vendors).

My venue is also all inclusive, I do not have that written in my contract though.. however, FH has said that maybe we will tell the venue to keep the deposit we put down (considering everything turns out good and no one damages anything) lol. But we will see if we actually do that..
