We recently got engaged and wanted to do things a lil different. I’m hoping to find a purple wedding gown. Any suggestions?

I love the idea of a purple dress! If you find a white dress that you like the design of and want it purple, you could find someone (a seamstress?) who would dye it purple. Otherwise, check out formal (non-wedding) dresses that are purple. Etsy also has a few sellers that have purple wedding dresses! Here are a few dresses I found on Pinterest:

Whenever someone says they want a coloured gown, I always suggest her - Teuta Matoshi!
Her dresses are AMAZING and really are reasonably priced for a wedding dress.

I also usually suggest Needle and Thread, but they don't seem to really have any purple dresses at the moment.

I recommend WardrobeByDulcinea on Etsy. You can get gowns or just skirts, and they will totally customize the colors for you so you could even get two shades of purple! Examples:

A purple wedding gown would be PHENOMENAL and unique!

As with any gown, it is important to establish what kind of vibe you want to give on your day, what season you'll be in, what your venue is, what shades of purple compliment your skin tone, and what kind of fabric.

Taffeta can provide shimmery depth to certain shades of purple, including royal purple.

I also think that a purple dress would make an amazing contrast with a groom's cream/ivory colored jacket, and black and gold colored elements and accessories.

If i were you i would look for a purple EVENING gown. because that would help widen your search better than just searching for purple wedding dress.
