Wedding Gown Found at Goodwill!

I've heard stories of this happening but thought it was old fashion dresses, etc. Today I was in Goodwill looking for a Halloween costume piece for my fiancee when I saw a tule sticking out among the dresses thinking "I could use a tule for my costume". I pull out the dress and it's this stunner! $17.99, and fits me prefectly! Even has a bustle!

    Of course. It only needs a few adjustments (hook missing on zipper, the strap tule taken off, dry cleaning) and it'll be ready!

    A pic on you would be appreciated! Hangers often do garments an injustice. The embroidery looks gorgeous though!

    And at 17.99, you really can't beat it.

    Smiley smile Big smile and congrats. I love hearing stories like this. I truly believe a bride and groom can have an amazing wedding if they open their eyes and see potential. Sadly cleaning and pressing the dress might be a couple of hundred dollars.

    @Chris L Not if you take it to a ZIPS Dry Cleaners. ZIPS charges a wedding dress (or any dress with beading) like any other piece of clothing - $2.29 and the minor alterations (missing hook on zipper and taking off the shoulder slash) was $13. All in all, a great deal and a wonderful ending.

    I haven't had a chance to try it on while someone is here to assist and take a picture (who is not my FH) since the dress has been back from the dry cleaners but I did find a picture of the dress on a model: https://pin.it/PtQBC4c

    It retails for $850 at David's Bridal. Not bad for $17.99.

    I'm always afraid of goodwill wedding dresses- like something scary from the 80's.
