Wedding Gift Etiquette

Either is fine! If it were me, I'd go ahead and open it then send a thank you card right after. My mom got us something off of our registry as a Christmas/congrats gift. We went ahead and opened it and facetimed her during it! She was super happy we got it safely and that we were excited to use it! (instant pot)

Totally open it now for a few reasons: 1. you can be specific in your thank you note. 2. You can send that thank you note immediately. 3. You can make sure it’s not broken or has any other issues. Opening too long after the ship date may leave you stuck.
