Wedding gift amount help

I’ve been reading a few threads about average gift to give for weddings but I think it may vary by area. We have 4 weddings this season in the western PA area & I want to give a good gift but we are also saving for our own wedding in October. If you recently got married in western PA, what would you say the average gift amount was per person? My fiancé makes custom metal signs for the couple as well

I think this also depends on how close you are to the couple so it's sort of hard to gage because I for instance wouldn't give the same amount to my best friend and I would to a co-worker I'm not thattttt close with

We usually give people a gift off their registry then $100-200 cash depending on how close we are to them.

Agree with this. It depends much more on your financial situation and your relationship to the couple than the region you live in. Our standard is $100 pp, so $200 for us as a couple, but we would gift more for a close friend or family member.

I don't look at averages. I base it off of how close we are with the couple, whether I got them a shower gift as well, and if I am actually in their wedding. We typically give $100 to a couple at a wedding where I didn't attend the shower.

We typically give $200 as a couple, more if they’re close friends/family. I never take the shower gift into consideration but for that I usually spend $50-$100 depending on my relationship to the couple.
