Wedding flowers

I'm torn between 3 things. Should I go with a florist, do them myself or ask someone else to help with them. They are soo expensive and feel like I shouldn't pay over 1200 for flowers. Any idea what's cheaper? Or would you say going with a florist is the most convenient ?

In most cases, ordering fresh flowers in bulk and then assembling them yourself is cheaper. I would check out places like Kroger or Sam's Club. If you're willing to buy online, Fifty Flowers is a great option as well! That's where I ordered my ceremony arrangements. This way I get fresh flowers without paying florist-prices!

I would check out thebridesbouquet.com because I do not even want to pay $100 just for my bouquet lol. Silk flowers which is good for me and they have packages. Cheapest I have seen but I do not know if they do custom made orders. I would also check etsy.

I was able to get a florist for 5 bouquets, 4 boutonniers, a sweetheart centerpiece, welcome table floral, and aisle decor for $800

I would say constructing them yourself would certainly be the cheaper option. But having a florist do them would be the least stressful option. Which you choose would be personal preference - would you rather save money and have more tasks/responsibilities? Or would you rather pay more money and have less to worry about? I don’t think there’s a right or wrong decision, you just have to determine what’s more important to you Smiley smile

I can’t say i know how you feel because our florist was so reasonable and did everything for less than $800. but i do have experience with DIY for the wedding. and as much as i loved it, it was super stressful for everything to come together. i would say keep an open mind and keep looking for reasonable florists but maybe think about doing wood flowers if you’re open to that?
