Hi, Ladies -
Today was great day in terms of planning. I had a phone consultation with the photographer we want to work with (he's fabulous!) as well as the *new* wedding florist we are considering. Talk about a night and day experience compared to my conversation with the previous florist we were considering.
The woman that I spoke with today was SO friendly, attentive, sweet, personable, and asked every single question there is to get to know my vision and what I want for our wedding. I couldn't believe the difference. This florist company has been in business for quite a few years and are wholesale, so they have access to a wider variety of flowers than the usual florist. Also, the best thing is that we can rent an arch for our ceremony straight from them! I asked for her recommendation on what arch would work best for a beach wedding and we both agreed that a gold hexagonal arch would look the best, especially with my colors and overall wedding "vibe" (I'm not going with traditional, lol!). We went over all of the particulars such as my bouquet, my sister's bouquet, mother of the bride/groom, etc. I was so impressed with the level of customer service and attention to detail.
We will be receiving a proposal within the next week (she even told me to follow up with her if I don't receive it for whatever reason, i.e. email issues, etc.) so I am feeling more than confident that this is a better fit for me and us. Just a follow up to my last post about the unprofessional florist I had spoken with previously. Just a tidbit - it's now been 2 weeks and I have not received the proposal that I was told I would be sent, and I also never got a response when I tried to follow up again early last week. Talk about unprofessional! I am so glad I didn't have my heart set on that first florist. This new one made me feel so much better and more secure.
